I agree, but I also understand that a lot of people will simply answer a poll in the affirmative or in a manner that reflects the common or popular opinion, or in a way that they believe reflects what the poll-taker wants to hear. (Or just yes, now go the fuck away and quit calling me.) tl;dr: Polls are pretty much useless.
