Here's one phrase that keeps getting said but isn't true:
"The rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer."
The first part is true. But the poor keep getting richer, too. Pretend the US didn't destroy millions of jobs with disastrous lockdown policies last year (or the rest of the world). At no part in human history have we had so few poor people. We keep getting fewer and fewer poor people. It's awesome!
