I'm more worried about the coal industry, which needs to be supported. Coal is a plentiful and clean source of power for generating electricity, and we are going to need more electricity in the future, not less. Those who think coal isn't clean have been brainwashed by anti-coal propaganda. Modern coal-fired generating plants have stack scrubbers that take all pollutants out of the smoke before it goes into the air. If you say "But carbon dioxide goes into the air," you need to know that CO2 is not a pollutant, it is necessary for the growth of plants, including our food crops. More CO2 in the air means larger yields of food crops. An increase in CO2 has no effect on global temperatures.
