A party endorses a candidate so that loyal party members do not need to think about the choice. Most voters are not 'swing votes'... most voters make their choice when they join a party not when they vote. This is why 'swing votes' are important... typically 80%+ of the voters are locked in. Republicans vote for the (R) and Democrats vote for the (D). The lie quoted above will only fool someone who does not understand the most basic fundamentals of American politics. So failure to endorse a candidate means one simple fact: THERE IS NO REPUBLICAN PARTY IN CALIFORNIA! There is only Democrats pretending to be RNC to fool voters. Failing to unite the party under a single candidate will split the red vote and ensure defeat. They are intentionally throwing the game.
