I've mentioned several times that my wife and I both caught the Covid around Christmas of 2019. That was months before Covid was even hinted at existing. We didn't know what we had, but we knew we had something that wasn't the flu, and wasn't a disease we had ever suffered before in our lives.
We both got the same symptoms -- my wife was hit a little harder than I, but it was not dangerous for either of us. It was on the level of a mild case of flu. The persistent cough was the oddest symptom. We had a dry cough long after the other symptoms of the virus had passed away.
I can't tell you where I live, but it is nowhere near China. This means that Covid was spreading for months before it was officially reported, and had already spread around the world by the time it hit the news.
