I think the idea was actually the opposite - 1ST SF delta being under the "President" and the condition that Trump signed the Insurrection Act making him hold the title until August or something. Been through so many "shits going down now!" scenarios from Heavens Gate Cult, Y2K - you name it. Still fun to watch as the ship sinks.
