Two reasons, mostly. First, most churches I'm aware of feel obliged to speak on political topics. Doing so (to me) removes any legitimacy when it comes to their supposed separation from the state. Second. Fuck 'em. Maybe if they feel the pain like we taxpayers do they'll see our side and help change things.
