I don't know, I looked for that too and couldn't find a number or progress bar of how much had been raised so far. The only thing mentioned is that the state is starting off with 250 million.

as far as the payment thing goes, yes you are correct, we all already pay for national security in our taxes many times over. If you are in another state here's why- the more mexicans come in, the more children they will have "anchore babies" who will be citizens and they will overwhelmingly be democrats. The dems want to pack the vote in the supreme court and at the population level with unchecked immigration. Mexicans also always fall for the lies of socialism, and tyrants love that crap.

Oh I know the "why" you laid out. That's obvious. However, do you actually think if this magically gets a few billion that even a dime is going to go to a border wall? I hate to break it to you: but it's not.

I agree with your cynicism, I know how money that's supposed to go to a thing, especially when it goes through the government has a low chance of going anywhere in any kind of efficient manner. But I figured I would post the option because the only other alternative I know of, the "we build the wall" people got held up in legal battles.

As far as I know, this is the only option for a way to send money directly to the border wall cause.

If there are any others I would definitely be interested.
