The constitution is exceedingly clear about federal elections. And that is: THE STATES DO THEM AND STATE LAW MATTERS. It is also exceedingly clear of the pair who is in charge: that would be the states.

It's also really weird that this is "clown show" because in all honesty this is the clown show ending.
