“Right now, only one industry in the United States enjoys blanket immunity from civil liability under federal law for negligence in the use of their products

No. The (((vaccine))) industry, the (((hospital))) industry, the (((medical))) industry, the (((education))) industry and the (((banking))) industry all enjoy perfect immunity. The gun industry is still liable if one of their products fails just as any other industry is.

but guns shoot people!!

Okay. When my gun shoots you while in my hands then I can not be found guilty.

e: This also means that if one of my posts contains threats of violence that I am not guilty of this as it's Logitech who's at fault.

AOU I'm just furthering the point to more specific relevance. I am in no way intending of pushing the point further.

only one industry in the United States enjoys blanket immunity from civil liability under federal law for negligence in the use of their products; the gun industry

What manufacturer is federally liable for what a customer does with their product? My uninformed opinion is that this statement is bullshit. Am i right or is this person right?

You are 100% correct. No industry is liable for how its products are used, only for defects in the products themselves. For example, if you drive your Ford F150 through a crowd of Antifa rioters in an attempt to flee to safety, Ford is in the clear. If your steering wheel malfunctions and causes you to drive into a crowd of people, Ford can be held liable.
