It's obvious. They want to control him. They recognize his popularity, and they know they can't intimidate him into silence, so how do they control his speech? They buy him. They tried this with Alex Jones and he turned them down. Bongino didn't turn them down, he opened his arms and scooped in the cash. In a few weeks he will start to censor his own speech. In a year he will be a tame snake, saying whatever they tell him to say, and rationalizing it to himself.

...and rationalizing it to himself.

He's almost certainly doing that already.

I was just listening to him. Yesterday, his speech was slurred in a very obvious way. Today, he said it was because his crew was playing around with the sound system yesterday. Ah, no. I know slurred speech when I hear it. I thought he maybe had just got back from the dentist, but today he said he was not at the dentist yesterday. So he was probably drunk yesterday on his show, which is fine -- most people drink from time to time. But he lied about it today on his show. He grinned at his audience and flat-out lied about why his speech was slurred yesterday. It wasn't the audio system -- that is complete bullshit. He was probably drunk. And he lied.
