Right. Land was already given back to Virginia and one 'easy' way to give the people of DC the rights they claim to want would be to recede the rest back to Maryland.
That doesn't address the Constitutionality of the capital being separate from the states, however.

DC is probably the biggest constitutional flaw. Taxation without representation.

Taxation without representation.

The have an at-large Delegate who represents them in the House. That's all they are entitled to via the Constitution. The simplest way to eliminate the "taxation' flaw is to make residents of DC exempt from Federal income tax. It's not like it is tied to population, after all.

That does not make it any less flawed, they're still under represented. Don't really care, leaving for better countries anyways.
