And how would they know the mileage you drive? The federal government would put a GPS tracker on every car that they could access at anytime to record how many miles you drive. Also having access to know the vehicles exact location at all times would not be used to illegally track you, trust them, they're from the govt.

1) The roads have already been paid for, 2) Roads become damaged over time - by far most of that damage is caused by truck traffic by a factor of many many thousands to one. Cars are barely noticed by a properly designed and constructed road, whether that be asphalt or concrete. The idea that car drivers should pay for the privilege of driving regardless is elitist and hurtful to those in lower economic levels. 3) Why do Democrats ALWAYS have to raise taxes?
