In every single state of the union the pattern is seen and pulling up election maps colored by which county won shows this clearly.

If you mean misleading in this way, I don't understand. The percentages are measuring how much of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents in an area support secession. The map was made to show what was measured and not something else. I'm not sure how that's misleading anyone.

The map is misleading in attributing faaar too much land to the communists. Something more realistic would show a giant red America with a few spots of blue.
