This author is very typical of the Pacific Northwest intellectual - smug, self-absorbed, with exquisite tales describing his never-ending fantasies, while always ready with verbose excuses that deflect when reality crowds in. Fact is the thugs aren't going to quit until they know punishment is coming right at 'em. Until that day, Portland will continue to burn - and Seattle is right behind.
