Me, I think it's about damn time we stopped being the policemen of the world. Our kids die for too many of these hopeless causes. The talking heads try to scare us with talk of terrorists behind every tree and all the innocent people who will die because we didn't protect them from the big bad wolf, but to me, this is exactly why Trump was elected. To put America first and stopping wasting our treasure and the young lives of our men and women fighting the world's battles. We can support these places with weapons, even cash, but let them fight their own battles.

NATO, too ... why the hell are we defending Europe against Russia. Europe's a big boy ... and I helped win the cold war eons ago!

I would say we shouldn't even be sending them cash as long as we have jobless and homeless here at home. Why shouldn't we solve our own problems first? Why bring in migrants when we are not feeding the people we have? Why send aid to other nations when that money could be used to cut taxes or fund businesses to give people jobs. Or put homeless kids in accommodations that might give them a decent start at life? Why are these foreign nations more worthy of our help than our own country men?

So I say great pull out of fucking everywhere and let the world handle its own problems and we can handle ours.

I can't agree more. It's a crazy system we have. Take in everyone from anywhere, feed, educate, and house them for life, yet our own vets (not me, I'm talking the real heroes out there that actually fought these battles) walk the streets and can't get basic health care in a timely fashion. I have no problem with kicking a Saddam Hussein (sp) outta Kuwait when he decides he's gonna annex it ... but kick him out, rough him up a bit, then step away. Ya don't have to stay forever getting our decent kids killed to show how tough you are.

Why even kick him out in the first place? In all likelihood someone worse will just pop up. Why not wait for them to become an actual threat to the US then deal with it.

I can agree to a more hands off approach but we shouldn’t let someone kill and torture people because it doesn’t affect us. While we have no right or obligation to be the world police the strong should protect the meek

Let their own people deal with 'em. I agree.

I agree - BUT. The purpose of said cash is SUPPOSED to preclude needing to send troops every fucking time they get an owie. And we see how well that's worked out. So yeah, neither cash nor troops. Fuck them - really. But if we could actually do any good with said cash and people were not starving at home or on the streets (here's look at you PTSD vets), then I would be OK to send cash in very limited situations.

I have witnessed first hand how this aid is used overseas and it ain't pretty.

And can we PLEASE quit feeding Africa?

Its too early for me to actually formulate a good argument, but for sure we should stop feeding africa it has not helped anything.
