Trump knew exactly what the outcome would be. There were agitators (he knew they'd be there, probably knew their plans) but he screwed over his mentally challenged supporters. Maybe there was some kind of parallel operation going on that justified it but it was pretty bad. People came from all over the country to hear that nothingburger speech of his and got shit on, by him first, everyone else second.
