The district attorney is now the most powerful elected position there is. You can steal an election and courts cannot stop you, if you decide to not investigate yourself. Selective enforcement of law is totally acceptable at this point making DAs much more powerful than they would be under a normal legal system. For example You can let an Ilham Omar imbezzel a bunch of election money everyone knows about it, but you just ignore it.
