Yeah, you hint at it, but the biggest issue with this is that you can't, logically, have forgiveness if the underlying problem has not been solved. If they were to say "there are no more public student loans" and then forgive the current loans it would almost make sense; but when the price of universities continues to rise, and the amount of debt with it, then how can you treat one time forgiveness as a solution?
They really don't want a solution (like almost everything politically, since it causes division and diverts attention from their theft), it's very frustrating.
