It's bizarre that you believe that the fact that the feds spend $275 billion in Texas means that Texas wouldn't be able to deal with this on their own if they kept the $262 billion of tax revenue that gets paid to the feds. The quality of your arguments has seriously fallen off since Biden became president. It's almost like your account got handed off to some intern that has never discussed politics before except on reddit.

Straw man argument much? I said no such thing and firmly believe that there's plenty of bootstraps for Texas to hoist, just pretending they are not a bunch of "takers" now is naive.

To be fair to Texas, it has been flooded with refugees from California which are infecting the state politically like a terminal cancer. Texas cannot magically print money either.
