If I had to guess, I'd say that he's a pedophile, especially given his body of work. His most prominent stories are very fixated on children and young men, but not in the classic competent hero type from old pulp stories, but something darker. I'm both impressed and surprised that only Stanley Kubrick is cited for pointing this out to people.
