I think there is a deeper issue there. What does God want? God wants us to love our neighbor, not just be left alone. The former is a noble purpose. The latter is a selfish purpose with no substance, coming from Satan, thus easily trampled upon when the opportunity presents itself, which is exactly what’s happening today to awaken people into remarrying church with state and enforcing Christian religious laws. The longer you delay the worse things will get. Disobedience and rebellion against God come from Satan and attachment to the earthly kingdom, which Jesus Christ sternly warned us against.
