Still, getting “forgotten” about in Western cinema is a common Orthodox experience. I’m pretty sure it’s on purpose though, since *most* First Century jews became Orthodox Christians, and even have their own Patriarchate in Jerusalem who manage the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and other holy sites. I think they’re *still* bitter about that. I think they also worry that, if American Evangelicals find out about them, they might actually want their money going to the *actual Judean Christians*, rather than the people pretending to be “jews”. As such, I think there’s a “good” reason the Orthodox aren’t more commonly featured in Western pictures.
