They've made it clear they will get violent to get their way and anyone who defies them in any way gets attacked on many fronts.

As I've commented before, it is likely that violence will ensue. I've also stated that I do not think it's the best course of action to kick off the violence. As you pointed out, the left will work against any action taken, violent or not, but not trying everything we can to avoid a shooting war on home soil is a bad idea.
