After Joe Biden was elected she tried to unfollow at least 10 times, tried blocking, nothing worked. This effected many other users as well. I think eventually she was able to unfollow weeks later. Seems like proof they had an algorithm that went haywire or something but clearly there's some fuckery afoot. Most popular president in US history amiright?

an algorithm that went haywire or something

Algorithms don't spring out of the ground. They have to be carefully crafted by a programmer/engineer to accomplish a certain goal.

That or 400 H1Bs slapped together and hope for the best.

I'm saying they had a malicious algo meant to grab lots of accounts and give them to Biden. Like, scraping inactive accounts and throwaways, maybe some regular accounts that perhaps wouldn't notice/care. But then it was too aggressive to the point you can't even unfollow. I really doubt they intended for it to do what it did, it's too blatant.

That's why you run tests on it before deployment. Then again, they are all about the diversity hiring.
