It says “20%” of Americans polled believe the problem is “economic forces”, and “8%” say “foreign influences”. That’s actually pretty good. The article is trying to make this sound like a horrible thing that the majority regard “other Americans” as the problem. But if it results in secession of a significant region, and a balkanization scenario, that might not be too terrible an outcome, because of the very sharp urban/rural divide.
