How can there be an "Office of the Former President"? Trump said that he would never concede.

This should be "Office of the Proper President" or "Office of the Government-in-Exile", something that at least sounds like The Donald hasn't conceded.

If (((they))) can claim office of the president elect then why no office of the past president?

It's almost like a Christmas story. We have the office of future, present, & past now.

Speaking of running for office or not, there was a Texan mayor/governor (forget which) who was unable to run for office again. I forget if he was impeached or there was a term limit. Either way his wife ran as a proxy candidate. They didn't even hide it, it was openly advertised as another term of office for him and he was popular enough for her to win.

Our bro George Wallace did that trick in Alabama back in the 1960s. Tragically, Alabama now has a childless old broad in as its Governor and she is terrible as she is not just a stand-in for a based husband (Governor Kay Ivey is a single woman...and 76 years old).

I see that there was a gent in TX who did this in the 1920s, a James E. Ferguson. Is that the guy you're thinking of?

AFAIK only one person associated with Trump could run for POTUS in 2024: his ex-wife Marla Maples.

Oh right, his wife is foreign born, I forgot.

Honestly I don't see him sharing power in any patriot party he manages to pull together, so anyone they manage to elect will be run from the top down by him. Regardless whether he ever holds office or not again.

Seems multiple people have done it. Here's (en.wikipedia.org) the one I was talking about. Her husband was impeached.
