I dont understand why the feds were even involved, why not have every state agree to their own permit and make it one way binding, so it cant be revoked. The idea of a revokable permit in this case is retarded, literally anyone can yank it for any reason and there goes billions down the toilet

The Feds were involved because the pipeline crosses the border to Canada. (Also because the Feds try to take over everything, but that's another conversation.)

So permit from Canada and Montana or whatever is fed managed, but why is the permit between MT and Wyoming fed managed? If every state has the same agreement, the feds wouldnt be able to do jack fuck against the pipeline except maybe canada would have to move the starting point a bit to be closer to a neighboring state.
