Despite Dems founding and having party representatives being active KKK members, somehow the Republicans became the racists because Boomers were too stupid to oppose both parties and it didn't matter what bills the Republicans wrote or backed because Boomers were fine with the war so long as it was someone else in those boots and it was easier to call Republicans racists than to admit to cowardice.
