Depends where in Canada. There are a few choice spots in BC and Ontario that can grow almost anything. There are other places even the pine trees can't take hold.

Even though the 49th parallel is the border for most of the way, something like 1/3 of Canada's population lives south of that. From Windsor to Quebec City is probably 1/2 the population of the country if not more.
