The people who are carpenters can build a house using the perfect wall, or 500 year house plan

We can be the Amish with all the technology. We can eventually out breed the surrounding area and buy up everything while working like beavers with no care to damn.

No hillbilly technology, also for radiant heating you can make a large cement block and let the sun heat during the winter when the sun doesn't rise as high, with a large window facing the south.

The "perfect wall" is climate dependant. Polyiso insulation drops in R value in freezing temperatures. Replace that 3 inches with 4-5 inches of graphite infused styrofoam and it's way fucking better, maybe even cheaper.

Insulation on the outside? I wonder how that's going to look. That means you aren't going to be running the cheap fiberglass stuff or that would get wet and moldy.

yeah, this 'exterior' insulation with bare studs showing on the inside (if the drywall is taken down, or none is put in), you have to do a bang up job putting up the exterior water barrier sheathing spot on.

Poly Wall® Home Stretch™ Peel 'N Stick/ICF Waterproofing Membrane high-density polyethylene (HDPE) looks and works the same as Butyl tape, but much wider and stretches all the way over the house so you have no air leaks in the house.

Remember to also have an air heat exchanger to have ventilation in the house, else everyone dies of breathing in each others farts all day

This seems to be a good match for old houses where you only care about when the house only has a good foundation and can rip off all the siding
