Maybe we need to retire them the best way.
Well we can't expect them to vote themselves out..
They don't vote for themselves, so that's a given.
good, faggot.

This plan is about 70 years too late.
It’s never too late for a constitutional amendment
When they’ve stopped obeying the constitution...it’s too late.
I’m very sorry to inform you that the constitution has been toilet paper for decades.
The 15th and the 19th worked sooooo well.
Which one of those was the alcohol thing, and which one was suffrage for women? Honestly I don't know, I've been drinking all day and I'm too drunk to care or look.
We also need to eliminate direct elections of Senators. That has resulted in the media having more power in deciding our legislatures than the people.
Also take the big money out
We need to nullify the 17th amendment, and return to state legislature appointed senators, and we need Term limits. Doing so will remove 50 - 70% of the corruption in our elections instantly. It would lower over all government corruption by 40%.
How do you supposed making certain candidates illegal is going to help anything? California has term limits on all of it's Legislature and it has done nothing but make the problem 100 times worse.
It would lower over all government corruption by 40%.
It will do the exact opposite. I can prove it with simple probabilities.
What's the probability that any given candidate for Congress is a crooked dirt bag, 90%? That means each election has a 90% probability of electing a crooked dirt bag. That also means a 10% chance of electing an honest guy. When you finally get that honest guy he's termed out after 2 terms. That means if you live to 90 you will get 1 honest guy over your voting lifetime. With term limits you'll get a maximum of two terms of honest Senator. Without term limits you get as many terms as he'll run.
The other bad thing about term limits is it increases the number of lame duck terms. 50% of the time your Senator is a lame duck. Why are they going to give a fuck about anything?
Yes yes yes...Vote them out...and impose term limits and control lobbyist and their access to Congress.
While the private corporation board members laugh all the way to the bank
Need to deal with the congressional pension system first though, or it'll bankrupt us even faster.
Nepotism will still exist and have to be dealt with, as well.
As crazy as this might sound, how about we make it merit-based?
You know, like most of the rest of us have to deal with.
Only people in private sector without government backing have to deal with a merit based employment and advancement.
the problem is money needed to rerun.
Not much problem with corporations owning supreme court judges, they dont exactly need millions every 2 years to re-campaign for there job.
so how about lifetime seats. once you get in you have the job for life, but here is the catch. every election you can get kicked out. You get 1 page to show what you have been doing and why you should keep your job. else the people can vote you out. then a special election will come up to fill that seat.
not money, but association with a party is required. a party isn't going to allow someone to rise to power without the machine (bankers, corporations, etc.) being happy. If ron paul winning a primary means that goldman sachs cuts off the republican party, and that aipac only supports democrats and anti-paul republicans (not the party); then the party will cheat in the primaries and collude with the information outlets, just like we are seeing now.
Need a whole new system of government.. fingers crossed.
I think that is what the left is planning.
