no its not paganism if you understand that men are utterly sinful and need a savior from their sins. God had to step out from eternity to perform this for humankind at the right time even though the act was done before the foundation of the world.

I believe that the scripture that Christians hold is in places inauthentic and not the actual revelation of the Prophets.

I don't think that Jesus was God because something that dies, quite literally by definition cannot be the eternal self sufficient creator and sustainer of the universe.
