Trump may have gotten a second term but the average leftist lost their shit too soon and would demolish the democrats in upcoming elections and continue to cause damage in cities so in political theater fashion they had to appease them.
They know the right will sit quietly and piss and moan and hold an occasional rally here and there but they need to get the cities rebuilt and running again so the leftists have to be pacified for awhile.
