I was watching that show "Bones" with my wife. She's a fan - I don't really care for it. Anyways, there's one episode where the FBI Agent goes after a "rich (((White))) guy" and accuses him of not being a patriot. So the (((guy))) says "the founders wanted to have country ruled and led by wealthy land owners who actually had skin in the game, not the peasants who come and go as they please." It sort of illuminated into perhaps their world view of how things should be - not only are they 'chosenites', but literally believe they are those land owners. Makes sense.
