Yeah I know. I think you have to be like a complete drinking all the time alcoholic before you get to that point. Normally you'll just get the Delirium tremens from withdraw. The shakes and shivers and other things you'd associate with withdraw from any stimulant drug.
Is any other detox that bad?
Coming off of any opiate can be bad, especially things like Heroin. Anti-depressants can be really bad, they alter brain chemistry and I've known some people who took them and were never quite the same again. I'd have to say any drug, if you're super hooked on it and are in bad physical shape could kill you going cold turkey.
I'm not a toxicologist, so don't take my words as gospel. It's just something I've had to deal with over the years because I had to step in and stop people from doing things that would harm them.
