The entire point of the Senate is for a body that represents the States in government. As it is now both houses represent the people.

I'd say both the Senate and the House tend to represent themselves instead of their representative body.
Term limits would potentially drag them back to what they were intended for. If you know you're going to only be there for a short time, you tend to have a sense of urgency, and new ideas come in as times change.
