The far left has a lot of influence but the old guard still holds the reins in their arthritic hands. Hence Biden as the presumptive nominee.
Okay, he's technically a good example, but in more ways than one. There he is, useless and beset with helplessness and dementia. The leftists leave him there to serve as a figurehead, I guess to appeal to the other dementia-ridden constituents out there who think the democrats are still what they were in 1978 or something [and to be fair, they kind of are, but they also really are so much worse...]
