If she plays nice like that, she might be able to wiggle into a cabinet position. That's at least something which should be on her radar. Good experience for a future run.

Not endorsing anyone could be dicey but if she handles it the right way she'll come through in a better place in the end.

So... I said something similar to friends of mine not long ago. With the way the Democrat party is lurching left there's really no home for her (and other moderates) anymore. The party is essential becoming the old Liberal party of the 80s and 90s. She could write her own ticket in Trumps 2nd administration if she worked with him to advance the issues she cares most about. Ending forever wars would be first among the issues she could focus on. Imagine how far she'd go as Trump's Sec State.
