Just awful. I can see dying if the chute fails, but stuck in the plane while trying to make an emergency landing? Fucking hell.
yea, there's a reason they call it the impossible turn. I know people are dying all the time but lately it seems like I have just seen so much death. It bothers me.
My primary chute got pretty tangled on one jump (many years ago) and I thought I was going to have to go for the backup. Thankfully, I was able to untwist the lines. Let me tell you, you train for that kinda stuff, but it's still scary when it happens.
I've only skydived once, it was pretty exhilarating. I would do it again. I'm trying to imagine you in free fall working on untangling your lines. Wild.
I read it was on take off. Which sucks less I guess, but they were “tandem”’d up so the novices were strapped to the pros…. At least they all get to go Home (Whites)
Yeah, it happened shortly after takeoff. What a shitty way to die.
