The evening after President Trump had “a very good call” with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), state and local police cracked down hard on an anti-ICE mob rioting outside a hotel in a Minneapolis suburb.
Minneapolis Police held back Sunday night, when anti-ICE agitators laid siege to a Minneapolis hotel, breaking windows and trashing the hotel lobby. Federal law enforcement agents were dispatched to the scene to disperse the mob using tear gas and flashbangs. At least one officer was injured during the ensuing melee.
The anti-ICE militants were at it again Monday night, this time holding a “noise protest” outside the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Maple Grove, a suburb northwest of Minneapolis, because they believed Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino was inside.
The Maple Grove Police Department declared an unlawful assembly and issued a dispersal order, stating that the demonstration had become violent once the agitators began throwing objects at the officers and caused property damage.
Following the dispersal order, crowd control munitions were deployed and approximately 24 stunned agitators were arrested, according to local reports.
