If there was turbulence serious enough to cause the death of a passenger, you would expect other passengers or crew (particularly any flight attendants, although this seems to have been a small aircraft so there may not have been any) to sustain at least some injury. It is possible that she was killed by an unlikely set of circumstances caused by turbulence, but a bit more investigation would be needed to make any definitive findings.
