I saw twitter comments that the people were only looting for necessities like toilet paper (when the target was a dollar store), and they were turning the blind eye on the looters that went for higher end stores and took televisions, shoes, and clothes.

Edit to add: dems are probably looking for a frozen black to declare that these are riots are in protest of the racist white snowstorms
