Vegetables is plants. Pigs eat vegetables, as do cows, sheep/lamb; even horses. Therefore, a hot dog is in fact plant based and vegan friendly.

It might be indirectly plant based, but it's refined plants, not just factory processed plants. Even if in the end you physical need is just carbon, there's huge quality differences.
