Some are speculating that they were involved in a joint operation with ATF. No way Canadian cops would surveil in America unless they were 'invited'.

That is the start of the Investigation. The US can perform joint operation with foreign governments on their soil, but not on US soil. As an American citizen, I am outraged. Where was the ATF protecting the 4th amendment rights of the US citizen at the show? This is a violation of the Espionage Act. They can't claim to be observers because there was no ATF present.
