What do you think? Car can be used as a deadly weapon, and him trying to run away from the cops could lead to a traffic accident that could injure or kill normal people.

I think a cop did his job well and they are sacrificing him on an oltar of BLM.

I think the cop is an asshole. I know this is an unpopular opinion. I've had a few interactions with the police it's 50/50 is they are going to act professional. IMO kid panicked likely not even recognizing it was a cop....who swung open the car door and stuck a revolver in his face. How many times have we heard, "all I could see was a gun. I don't know what he/she looked like." from victims? I hope he gets a dirt nap in prison. royal piece of shit

I wouldn't say 50/50. My interaction with police over the last half-century or so is about 25/75 professional to egotistical asshole.

I agree with that, pulling out a gun was an overreaction, but then againcar did previously drive past a checkpoint and there was a suspicion it might be stolen + it's nigs.

I'm not the one to shill for cops, they lost my support after covid lockdowns and supporting leftist riots, just want to analyze the situation for the sake of it.

Charges against Cantu for aggravated assault and evading arrest were previously dropped.

Poor reporting.

Is this a dirtbag with a previous record or do they mean the charges were related to this incident and dropped? Makes a HUGE difference if this dude was actually a known perp to the cop or not.

Not sure if you are asking rhetorically or not... it's the latter (victim was charged with several crimes related to this incident. All were dropped)

I was serious. If in connection with this incident, then everything's good. If he was a prior perp then it would have smelled more like a woke media campaign against police.
