That's the crazy part. They recently shut down one nuke plant and are trying to shut down a second.

And it was shut down because of Chinesium pipes/tubing. The metal delivered wasn't nearly up to the task and corroded. SCE determined it would be cheaper to shut the plant down than reorder and install the correct pipes/tubing.

I didn't see that information, I was led to believe it was shut down due to environmental wackos, but regardless it is a huge loss of energy production.
