Yeah you will have to hack the computer or fake it out by hooking up dummy sensors to it so it think it's got what it needs. Wouldn't be surprised if there's stuff out there you can use to do that and the fuel injection cycle on a diesel isnt that complicated so it might be possible to just replace the whole efi computer with an arduino. I bought a used 2013 kubota tractor because after 2014 they started requiring all small diesel engines over 24hp to have the reheat stage and use DEF with an accompanied efi computer.
