Probably not since they were minors at the time. The only hope would be a leak from law enforcement. However, law enforcement clearly needed to be in on the scam.

They're more than willing to play the long game. Banning guns wouldn't do shit to gun owners for the first few years. After a generation or two that has never been to a gun range or hunting, then the population becomes pretty helpless.
