This says a lot about the current state of the media In the United States. This is local news for me but the only media outlet that is covering it is a foreign media source located 8000 miles away.

A good amount of their power derives from keeping us unaware and uninterested and inactive regarding local politics. “Think globally, act locally” the old environmental slogan really is a recipe for power.
